Saltfish fritters are pretty fantastic on their own but if you want to take it to the next level I have an easy saltfish fritter (stamp and go) dip to go along your fritters. The secret ingredient…hot pepper sauce. Which basically makes anything taste better. I haven’t gotten to the point where I carry a bottle around but I have gotten to the point where I have considered it.
You can double or triple, etc this recipe for how much you need. It is also easy enough to whip some more up if you run out if you are worried about making too much.
The dip is a nice creamy spicy addition to your fritters.
Side with your fritters.
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp mayonaise
- 4-5 drops of hot pepper sauce (taste as you add to get to your preference of heat)
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Stir together until you have an even consistency.
